With the T28 Ericsson hoped to recapture the top end of the mobile market. It was also a new flagship for the Ericsson brand, which was more about infrastructure than handsets.
The T28 was a great poser's phone. You opened the flip with button on the side of the phone. You could make a call just by saying the person's name and the T28 World automatically updated the time when moving through time zones.
An unbelievably slim battery helped to make the T28 the slimmest, if not the smallest phone on the market. The design was, for once, spot on. The T28 had an edgy modern feel to it and the reviewers loved it.
